Jenny’s 50th jazz anniversary
Untertitel: Jenny Evans vocals, Heinz Frommeyer piano, Thomas Stabenow bass, Stephan Eppinger drums, TRIO NAUTICO Hugo Siegmeth sax, Bernd Hess guitar, Karsten Gnettner bass
Beschreibung: The quality of her interpretations is based on a pronounced feeling for lyrics and their melody. Although jazz is not one of the mainstream musical genres, Jenny Evans still manages to appeal to an audience far beyond the die-hard jazz clientele thanks to her keen sense for musically exciting crossover projects. During her school days in England, she was already on stage as a singer in classical choirs and as an actress. Jenny made her first appearance as a jazz singer in Munich 50 years ago. And this is exactly what will be celebrated on Thursday, November 20, 2025 with a concert in the beautiful Silbersaal of the Deutsches Theater in Munich. First, Jenny Evans will sing with her accompanying trio. With Heinz Frommeyer on piano - back in Bavaria after a long stay in the USA, emeritus professor of jazz bass Thomas Stabenow and drummer Stephan Eppinger. Together with bassist Karsten Gnettner, Stephan was part of Jenny's regular backing band at the Allotria jazz club in Munich in the early 1990s. At the anniversary concert, Karsten will play as the second band of the evening with his “Trio Nautico” with Bernd Hess on guitar and Hugo Sigmeth on saxophone. Jazz vocalist Jenny Evans will unite the evening with these two completely different jazz trios. Jenny's Jazz Jubilee Concert is sure to be a brilliant session.
